Children's Ministry
At Aberfoyle Uniting Church, we are committed to ministry with children. Every week we have over 500 children participating in a variety of different ministries. We aim to help children discover Jesus in a personal way so they will grow in their faith and understanding of Him.
Children participate in a loving, nurturing, and age appropriate environment while attending our children's programs. The experiences they have are designed to supplement the nurture and training experienced in the home environment.
We have five key values that define all we do in childrenís ministry. These are :

Children also learn by observation and modelling, therefore each program is staffed by volunteers who are committed to the spiritual development of the children.

TOTZONE (Children aged under 2)
A supervised creche program available during every service. Parents are able to take their children to Totzone part way through the worship service. Babies and toddlers are cared for by capable volunteers. Headphones and a viewing window into the church are available for parents feeding infants and unsettled toddlers.
TODDLERZONE (Children aged 2)
This ministry is held during our weekend worship services. Children in Toddlerzone initially join those in Kindyzone for the welcome and singing, then they go to their own area for activities.
KINDYZONE (pre-school)
Kindyzone is our weekend program for pre-school children available during every service. Children participate in a biblically based program and are taken through the major stories of the Bible over a two year period. The children are involved in a combination of group time, craft and free play.
PLAYZONE (Playgroup Ministry)
Playzone is an outreach ministry that runs Monday to Thursday morning each week during school term. It is run for parents and their pre-school children aged 18 months to 5 years old. We aim to provide a relaxed, caring Christian environment in which parents and their children can enjoy social and learning activities.
KIDZONE (School Years R-5)
Kidzone is our ministry to primary school children during every service. The program consists of free play activities, worship, a Bible message and shepherd groups with an adult volunteer. In addition, there is a special event held once each term. During school holidays, a special program is run.
IMPACT (School Years 6-7)
Impact provides an opportunity for our year 6s & 7s to gather together one Saturday evening a month. Children experience fun and friendships during the evenings activities which include games, cinema visits, rock climbing etc. This program is promoted in the nearby Uniting Church School as well as in other Childrens Ministry programs.
