In April this year, a team of 6 people from Aberfoyle Uniting Church travelled to Saimai in Bangkok, Thailand for an experience the Thai’s call ‘Summer Camp’. Summer Camp is a two week English teaching program for primary school aged children run by Zion Saimai Church, a small Thai church whose mission is to reach it’s local community with the good news of Jesus.
What you see here is a presentation put together by the Thai’s for our farewell (please forgive their English).
You’ll see photos of our arrival, of our ‘get to know you games’, of our teaching classes, of our ‘sport’s day’ together and of the ‘trip’ we took together with our Thai friends on the only day off we had while we were there.
Saimai is an amazing experience – truly life changing. The faces you see in these images are some of the most beautiful, passionate followers of Jesus you’ll meet anywhere in the world.
God bless
Aberfoyle Uniting Church Saimai Team 2010.

PUTUTJA
2 short term mission trips have seen over 50 people of all ages help build relationships with Aboriginal people in the APY lands. Our first trip to Pututja (a home land about 30kms from Ernabella) saw the team rebuild a house on the home land, enjoy worship together, build relationships with the young and old alike and learn more of the culture in this beautiful land. The second team renewed this relationship with a more youth focus. The need for a worship centre was realised from this trip. The plan for 2010 is to see a mission trip where the building of an outdoor stage will enable people from around the district to come and worship God under the stars.
